US stocks gain after Chinese market surges, US economy grows faster than thought

U.S. stocks climbed in early trading Thursday, extending their recovery from a sharp sell-off that was triggered by concerns about the health of the Chinese economy.

Investors were encouraged by a surge in Chinese stocks as China's main stock index logged its biggest gain in eight weeks. In the U.S., a report showed that the economy expanded at a much faster pace than previously estimated in the second quarter.
Energy stocks were among the biggest gainers as oil climbed back above $40 a barrel.
The Dow Jones industrial average climbed 1965 points, or 1.2 percent, to 16,486 as of 10:29 a.m. Eastern time. The Standard & Poor's 500 index gained 27 points, or 1.5 percent, to 1,968. The Nasdaq composite rose 74 points, or 1.6 percent, to 4,771.
U.S. stocks are rallying after their best day in close to four years Wednesday, as the market bounced back from a six-day slump, pushing the Dow up 619 points, or 4 percent. That was its third-biggest point gain of all time and its largest advance since Oct. 28, 2008.
Markets have been volatile since China decided to weaken its currency earlier this month. Investors interpreted the move as an attempt to bolster a sagging economy.
Traders are also jittery about the outlook for interest rates. The Federal Reserve has signaled it could raise its key interest rate for the first time in nearly a decade later this year.
William Dudley, president of the New York Federal Reserve Bank, said Wednesday that the case for a U.S. interest rate hike in September is "less compelling" given China's troubles, falling oil prices and emerging markets weakness.
Following a six-year run-up in U.S. stocks that has pushed major indexes to all-time highs, investors worry the economy could falter if the Fed raises rates too soon, chocking economic growth.
SECTOR VIEW: All of the 10 sectors in the S&P 500 notched gains, led by energy stocks. The sector rose 3.1 percent, but remains down 21.3 percent this year.
DAZZLING RESULTS: Signet Jewelers jumped 12 percent after reporting earnings that surpassed the expectations of Wall Street analysts.
NOT SO DAZZLING: Tiffany slid 2.1 percent after the luxury jeweler's fiscal second-quarter earnings fell short of Wall Street expectations. The stock lost $1.78 to $83.80.
EUROPEAN MARKETS: Germany's DAX gained 3 percent. France's CAC-40 increased 2.8 percent. Britain's FTSE 100 also rose 3 percent.
ASIA'S DAY: The Shanghai Composite Index posted its first gain in six days, bouncing back from losses that triggered worldwide selling and wiped nearly 23 percent off its value over the past week. Hong Kong's Hang Seng advanced 2.9 percent to 21,697.31 and Tokyo's Nikkei 225 added 1.1 percent to 18,574.44.
THE QUOTE: It might be too early to expect a long-term Chinese rebound, cautioned Huang Cengdong of Sinolink Securities in Shanghai.
"Considering the weakening economic outlook, the rally gains won't last long," said Cengdong.
ENERGY: Benchmark U.S. crude gained $1.46 to $40.06 a barrel in New York. The contract fell 71 cents on Wednesday to close at $38.60.
BONDS AND CURRENCIES: U.S. government bond were little changed from Wednesday, keeping the yield on the 10-year Treasury note rose at 2.18 percent. The dollar rose to 120.48 yen from Wednesday's 120.14 yen. The euro edged down to $1.1261 from the previous session's $1.1337.

Trading Strategies For Wins

When people use the term "day trading", they mean the act of buying and selling a stock within the same day. Day traders seek to make profits by leveraging large amounts of capital to take advantage of small price movements in highly liquid stocks or indexes. Here we look at some common day trading strategies that can be used by retail traders.

When people use the term "day trading", they mean the act of buying and selling a stock within the same day. Day traders seek to make profits by leveraging large amounts of capital to take advantage of small price movements in highly liquid stocks or indexes. Here we look at some common day trading strategies that can be used by retail traders.
Entry StrategiesCertain stocks are ideal candidates for day trading. A typical day trader looks for two things in a stock: liquidity and volatility. Liquidity allows you to enter and exit a stock at a good price (i.e. tight spreads and low slippage). Volatility is simply a measure of the expected daily price range - the range in which a day trader operates. More volatility means greater profit or loss. (To learn more, see Day Trading: An Introduction or Forex Trading Walkthrough.)

Once you know what kinds of stocks you are looking for, you need to learn how to identify possible entry points. There are three tools you can use to do this:
  • Intraday Candlestick Charts - Candles provide a raw analysis of price action.
  • Level II Quotes/ECN - Level II and ECN provide a look at orders as they happen.
  • Real-Time News Service - News moves stocks. This tells you when news comes out.
We will look at the intraday candlestick charts and focus on the following three factors:
  • Candlestick Patterns - Engulfings and dojis
  • Technical Analysis - Trendlines and triangles
  • Volume - Increasing or decreasing volume
There are many candlestick setups that we can look for to find an entry point. If properly used, the doji reversal pattern (highlighted in yellow in Figure 1) is one of the most reliable ones.
AT_RetailStrategies_1r.gif
Figure 1: Looking at candlesticks - the highlighted doji signals a reversal.
Typically, we will look for a pattern like this with several confirmations:
  • First, we look for a volume spike, which will show us whether traders are supporting the price at this level. Note that this can be either on the doji candle, or on the candles immediately following it.
  • Second, we look for prior support at this price level. For example, the prior low of day (LOD) or high of day (HOD).
  • Finally, we look at the Level II situation, which will show us all the open orders and order sizes.
If we follow these three steps, we can determine whether the doji is likely to produce an actual turnaround, and we can take a position if the conditions are favorable. Typically, entry points are found using a combination of these three tools. (For more see the Charting Sectionof the Forex Walkthrough.)

AdSense To Get Your Account Approved

AdSense is the best available monetizing option available for websites and blogs.
Among all the online companies offering CPC & CPM based advertising programs; AdSense offers the best possible rates to their publishers.
Once Google approves your AdSense account – it’s easy to implement ads on your blog, track your success rate and receive your Google AdSense cheque month after month.

Why Bloggers Love AdSense?
  • Google is a trusted brand. And AdSense is their flag-ship program besides other premium products, where they generate lion share of their revenue.
  • They pay the highest possible rate for CPC (Cost-per-click) & CPM (Cost-per-million) based ad inventory sales compared to otherAdSense like companies such as Chitika, Infolinks, Bidvertiser,Kontera, Media.net, etc.
  • Creating custom ad units with your choice of text color, link color and background color is very easy and usually takes 2 to 3 mins. Tracking an ad unit or page for clicks to optimize for better performance (earning) is even easier with AdSense.
There are innumerable advantages of AdSense comparative to other advertising programs available. But trust, payout rates and easy to use are the 3 main reasons why bloggers love it the most.
You will be surprised to know – There are highly successful bloggers with huge traffic who display only AdSense ads on their blog. Because they feel proud of. Even though they can earn more money by showing ads from other networks along with AdSense.
There are bloggers who have started blogging only to earn money from Google AdSense. And many a times, when Google doesn’t approve their AdSense account they quit blogging completely.
This is the kind of madness you can see among bloggers for AdSense.

Are you eligible for AdSense?

Getting your AdSense Application approved by Google is like a dream come true. Because you can now monetize your blog; no matter how much traffic you get or how many dollars ($$$) you earn per month. Now you’re in for blogging business.

I still remember, in year 2008 – 2009, getting an AdSense A/c approved from Google was a child’s play. I’ve seen blogs with single page and hardly a week old were getting approved by Google. So many bloggers had even multiple AdSense accounts for their multiple blogs. In case one account get banned by Google due to some reasons then they started using their other account.
Now things have changed drastically. It’s no more an easy job to get your AdSense account approved for your blog. Google has become stricter with their requirements, and their Terms and Conditions. Below are the things you should know to prepare your blog and yourself to get your AdSense account approved from Google.

1. Custom Domain
Google doesn’t accept sub-domain for AdSense Program. Gone are the days when so many bloggers were earning 100s and 1000s of dollars with their sub-domains.No matter whether you’ve a TLD (Top Level Domain) or CC TLD (Country Code Top Level Domain); you should be the owner of the primary domain with access to the HTML code of the site. If you’re still blogging with a sub-domain from Blogger or WordPress, then go… get a custom domain for yourself today.

2. Site Age
Your blog should be atleast 6 months old, if you’re from India or China. This step is taken by Google to curb spammy AdSense applications.Because, in terms of number – India & China constitute more than 40% of bloggers in the World. There is no “site age restriction” for other countries in the World. But still it’s advisable that your blog should be 6 months old or more if you’re from an Asian country.

3. Quality Content
Google gives more emphasis on quality over quantity when it comes to content. Irrespective of niches, your blog posts should be above average in quality. It should be unique and informative. If your blog contains copied materials then the chances of getting your AdSense account approved is extremely deem. Although Google has not mentioned clearly, still it is advisable to have at least 50 blog posts or more at the time of application.

4. Niche
Google always maintains a balance between the number of advertisers (AdWords) and publishers (AdSense) for each niches. If a niche is already saturated with AdSense Publishers then they become stricter while approving new AdSense account. This is the reason a couple of years back Google was not approving new AdSense account for Technology Space. They even banned a lot of existing accounts in tech space for not maintaining the minimum level of quality. So, if your blog belongs to competitive niches like Technology, Recipe and Finance; you’ve to work hard to raise the quality of your blog. For info – Blogging, SEO, Social Media Marketing and Gadgets fall under Technology.

5. Are You 18
AdSense is not for minors. You should be at least 18 years old with a Bank A/c of your own. Here, 18 means – You must have completed 18 years.

6. Illegal Stuff
If you’re promoting pornography, illegal drugs, liquor, hatred against a race or a community then AdSense is not for you. Google is strictly against these type of practices.

7. Privacy Policy
Lot of webmasters think Privacy Policy is for websites who sell some kind of goods (physical or digital). But for an AdSense account your blog also needs a clear Privacy Policy. You should clearly mention on your Privacy Policy section – how you use all the data collected from your users or blog visitors. It can be email, telephone number, name, physical address, or even IP address. You should also mention about – how you use cookies on your site for better user experience.

8. About Us

Your about us section should clearly mention about the owner/owners of the blog. A physical address, telephone number and an Email ID is a must. Your name on the about us section and application form should tally.

9. Physical Address
You may not agree, but a physical address on your contact us section plays a big role. Your physical address on the application form where you would like to receive the AdSense cheque and the address mentioned on the contact us section should be same.

10. Traffic & Page Views
Google has never disclosed about – how many page views or traffic they need on your blog to approve an AdSense account. But the general consensus is that – it’s at least 250 page views per day.

So, these are the things (Top 10) you should remember while applying for a Google AdSense account for your blog. Remember – Getting an AdSense account is not so easy, so if you get one, then never do a silly mistake to get banned by Google. Because once you get banned, it’s almost an impossible task to recover it. People have lost their account for silly things like – writing click the below ad to run the blog, displaying the AdSense ad on a large image as background, and mimicking the AdSense ads as the navigation of the site or blog.

Is it Really this Easy to Get Free Advertising?

One of the best ways to get free advertising is to simply write articles and give them away. It’s a foreign concept to many in online business, but it’s one of the best ways to get traffic, improve your search engine ranking, and sell more products.

Why Should You Write Articles?
Newsletter and website owners are desperate for content. As someone who owns websites and publishes several newsletters, I can vouch for this. I regularly search article directories, looking for quality information that will help my readers. And, every article I use from these resources gets published with the author’s information and a link to their site.

Why Give The Articles Away?
How much would you pay to include your ad in a newsletter or popular website? Anywhere from $5 to $80. Wouldn’t you prefer to have your ad placed for free? It’s easy to see the financial reward. Look at the bottom of this article. Right there, plain as day, you can see a resource box with my website included, so you have proof that this method works.

How do you write an article?
Take another look at the article that you’re reading right now. It’s short. It’s simple. I’m not a Literary Genius. I’m just being me.Start by picking something you know about, or a problem that you can solve, and start writing. Just do it!

What should you include in the Author Bio?
Your NameSomething interesting about you or your websiteYour website link – Don’t forget this one!Special offer – Mention a freebie or special offer if you have one.Don’t use this area to *sell*. Just get them to your site.May you have lots and lots of free advertising!

7 Ways To Increase Consumption of Your Content

Given the many crackdowns by Google lately, the general consensus is, high quality content is more important that ever. I whole-heartedly agree with the quality part. However, this bit of advise seems to have a little “build it right and they will come” ring to it, and we all know things simply don’t work like that. In order for quality content to become spectacular, people need to consume it first.
The following are 7 things you can do to help people consume more of your content.

Create different formats
Because we all learn and absorb material differently, our choice of media is also different. Not everyone is a reader. So, translate your content into audio, video, written text, slides, info graphics, quotes made into images. Those are a few to begin with. The nice thing about doing that, you now have the material for distributing your content on more spaces like SlideShare, YouTube, iTunes, Pinterest, other people’s blogs and more.

Make it easier to consume on the device of their choice
Sometimes, it isn’t enough to produce multiple formats of your content. It has to be easy to get going. Audios and videos should play with a click. PDFs shouldn’t be zipped. This slows people down because they can’t simply click and read. It’s frustrating, especially if it is a short report. Here’s a better idea. Give me a way to load the document directly into my Kindle app. There’s actually a WordPress plugin that can do that. It’s called the Kindle Loader. You should check it out.

Highlight the good bits
Every piece of content has some key points in them. Pull them out, email it to newsletter subscribers and give them the link to the rest of the meat. This is a very effective strategy not only for freely available content but for paid information and it works. Repeat this on social media too because you never who has or hasn’t read your content. You can even do this for past content.

Encourage discussion
Similar to the technique above, when you ask questions about something in your content, people have no choice but to read it to answer. Make sure you ask in a way that leads them to it though like, “What do you think about the first tip? Do you practice it?” Now, if you haven’t been paying attention, you’ll want to re-read the first point so you can answer intelligently. Don’t just ask in the blog post. Periodically, throw a question out to your newsletter subscribers and social networks with a quick “Hey, can I get your thoughts on such and such in this post?”

Keep it short and on point
People are busy. Use just enough words to get your point across.

Promote It
This shouldn’t even be here but it is, because we have a tendency to underestimate simple things. Email it, share it, not only when you first publish it, but again and again using different words, angles, across different networks and over time.

Link to past content
Last but not least, it’s not always about new content. Draw people deeper into your old content and related areas by linking within the article or highlight quality posts.

PLR Articles: How to Choose a Good Service

Private Label Rights (PLR) articles are hot right now. The only problem is that many people have tried them and been very disappointed. I can’t say I blame them. I’ve been disappointed, too.
Oftentimes, the PLR services you may have tried are lacking in several areas. So, what makes a good PLR service and how can you make sure that you don’t waste you money on a bad one?
Here are some questions to ask yourself before investing any money into a PLR package or membership.

1. What topics are you getting?
I mean, seriously, if you are promised 100 articles each month, but you end up receiving a selection on Laser Hair Removal and Divorce, when all your websites are about cooking… You just wasted money.

2. What quality are you getting?
Say you’re lucky enough to get a series of articles on your topic. Take a minute to look at them. Are they pure fluff? I’ve paid for articles that had no original ideas, or worse, were written so poorly that there’s no possible way I’d put them on my website. Make sure your PLR package contains quality articles. Otherwise, you just wasted money.

3. How many other people are getting the exact same articles?
If 1000 other people signed up to get the same articles, are you really receiving any value? Perhaps, if you don’t mind reworking the articles. However, if you’d like more unique articles, then you may consider a more limited PLR service.

4. Does the PLR service give you any extras?
Are they offering training on ways to use their PLR articles? Do they provide you with ways to monetize the articles you’ve purchased? Some PLR sites will include recommended affiliate programs and training on how to use their articles to get the most benefits from their service.

Really assess the value you’re receiving when investing in any PLR package or service so that you don’t end up wasting your money. I don’t want you to make the same mistakes I did.

What Can you Do with PLR Articles?

You may have seen the term Private Label Rights or PLR articles being tossed around frequently lately. PLR articles are articles you can buy (usually in packages or as part of a membership) that you may edit and use as you wish. Unlike free reprint articles, you are not required to link back to anyone else’s website which makes them appealing to many web publishers.
Once you understand the concept behind PLR articles, you can see why they are appealing. Most people can envision the value of adding the articles to their websites. But, did you know there are more ways to use PLR articles than that?

1. Add them to your blog.
Similar to adding PLR articles to your website, you can take excerpts and use them on your blog for fresh content. Whether you take a portion and use it as a “tip of the day” or use the entire article, PLR articles can be a huge time saver for you.

2. Send them in your newsletter.
Need content for your newsletter? PLR articles are an option. Of course, if you’re developing a relationship with your readers, you may wish to edit the articles to make them your own voice. However, you can pull a section from a PLR article – use it as inspiration — and whip out a newsletter in minutes.

3. Start an ecourse
If you purchase a package of PLR articles based on a theme, it’s quite easy to turn them into an ecourse simply by adding them to your auto-responder. Something as simple as “Five Ideas for Kids Lunches” can become a 5 day ecourse to grow a big newsletter list.

4. Use them in your podcast
Take a PLR article and use it as inspiration for a podcast. Add the content and you’re done.

5. Send them in a print mailing
Direct mailing is huge. If you have a list of postal mailing addresses, put together a free report from PLR articles and send it out.

6. Create a special report
Simply bulk together some PLR articles that have the same topic, and make them flow into a special report. Turn it into a pdf file and give it away to your website visitors.

See how easy that is? The only hard part is finding a PLR service that is high quality and fits your niche. Look around. Make sure the PLR package or membership you choose provides you with high quality articles so you can create something you’ll be proud of.

PLR and Ghostwritten Articles: Are they Ethical?

Recently, in an interview, I was asked “Is it ethical to use private label rights and ghostwritten articles?”
Let me step back a moment and explain… Private label rights (or PLR) articles and ghostwritten articles are used by web owners as a method of outsourcing some of their content.

  • PLR articles are packages of articles that are pre-written and sold to more than one person.
  • Ghostwritten articles are articles that are written by someone else just for you that you can put your name on and are not sold to anyone else.

In both cases, you are allowed to edit the content as much or as little as you’d like and use the articles on your website, blog, or in your newsletter.
So, back to the question. Is it ethical? My answer was, “usually, yes”.
If you’re using the articles and saying “written by me” without changing anything at all, it may bite you in the butt later, when someone else does the same thing. Does that make it unethical? Not really. It’s just not smart. Can you use the article as it is or edited slightly, without saying it was written by you? Of course!
Most PLR packs are written by ghostwriters. Ghostwriters are professional researchers and writers. If you purchase well-written, informative PLR or ghostwritten articles and share them with your readers, don’t you all benefit? Your readers benefit by getting great information. You benefit by saving time. Is it any different than hiring a graphic designer or webmaster? Not in my opinion. Heck, most politicians don’t write their own speeches. They leave that to people who are professional speech writers.
Of course, you’d want to only use top-notch articles and not “sell-out” just to pump out blog posts or web pages quicker. We recommend you research thoroughly before choosing any ghostwriter or PLR service.
Here’s what to look for in a PLR service so you don’t waste your money:
  • Make sure the articles are written well.
  • Make sure that you know what topics you’ll receive (instead of some grab-bag of articles).
  • Be sure that the people running the program have some experience in article writing themselves, so they know what they’re doing.
There’s no point in doing everything on your own, especially if you dislike writing. All successful business people outsource the tasks they are not good at or dislike. Check it out. It might take some pressure off you and allow you to spend more time with your kids. And, that’s definitely ethical.

PLR vs. Free Reprint Articles: Which is Best?

Content is always in high demand. Right now the focus seems to be on Private Label Rights (or PLR) articles. PLR articles are pre-written and sold in packages to online businesses looking for content. The big selling points of PLR articles are that you may edit the articles and that there is no author bio required (so they don’t have any outbound links).
Compare PLR articles to free reprint articles. Free reprint articles from places like ezinearticles.com or freeaffiliatearticles.com are written by people who have something they’d like to share. (Or, they are sometimes written by people just publishing junk, in the hopes that they’ll get some incoming links. But, good article directories will delete those, so we’ll focus on the good ones here.)
So, which is better? Honestly, each has its place. Sometimes you’ll find an excellent free reprint article that you’ll want to share with your readers and you won’t mind a bit having an outbound link, especially if there is an affiliate program associated with it. The free reprint article added value to your readers, and you didn’t have to write the article. That’s what free reprint articles are all about.
Other times you’ll already have an idea in mind for a topic and you’ll just want a boost getting that section of your website done. If you run across a high quality PLR package on that niche, you’re set to go.
So, how do you know which PLR service or membership to choose? Here are some guidelines to follow:

1. Some PLR sites offer a monthly membership where you receive a grab-bag of articles – on any topic. If you already know what you need, this may be a waste of money. Other PLR sites will list topics and you can buy the articles in a shopping cart. That ensures you receive the articles you need when you need them.
2. Are the articles written by professional writers with experience? Or are they outsourced to the cheapest overseas help they can find – no matter the quality? If the articles are going to be a reflection of your business, you’ll want to ensure that the articles are well-written.
3. Who’s running this thing? Is the PLR site run by someone who knows about content or someone who thinks they can ride the content wave and make a quick buck? Make sure you’re hitching your wagon to someone who knows what they’re doing.

Those are just a few tips to keep you from wasting money on a PLR site that you can’t use. Continue to use free reprint articles, but look into PLR articles as well. They can both benefit your website and your business.

3 Top Mistakes When Buying and Using PLR Articles

Using PLR articles for your content needs is a huge time-saver and can really help you grow your niche quickly. It can help you become the expert, build your brand, gain exposure, sell affiliate products and sell your own products.
But to get the most out of PLR, you’ve got to think it through and have a strategy. Here are 3 of the most common mistakes I see people making:

No clear purpose for the PLR.Why did you purchase the PLR? You might have picked it up to use in the near future and that’s fine as long as you do plan to use it. Set a goal, like you’ll start using it right after your current project is completed. What do you want it to do for you? Every piece should have a purpose and it’s good to know before you use it. Maybe you want to put it on your blog to help pre-sell an affiliate product. Or perhaps you want to incorporate the whole pack as an email ecourse to get optin subscribers. Any content you use should have a call to action or purpose.

Buying and not using the PLR at all. We’re all guilty of this at times. When you pick up a new batch of quality PLR, think of them as little diamonds in the rough, just waiting for you to polish them up and put them on display. Suddenly your $1/page PLR articles are looking pretty good! Otherwise, they’re just rocks taking up space.

Using it “as is”.
Don’t be that girl who’s wearing the same dress as 2 other girls at the same party. How does that make you feel? Like a copycat. Does it impress anyone? Nope.Change your PLR, make it better, make it unique. Many people don’t change their PLR articles because they either don’t know how or think it’s going to take too long. If that’s how you feel, I think you should pick up How To Rewrite PLR.   This resource shows you different ways to rewrite, giving you lots of examples, and how to add value. It even goes over how to rewrite and add value and personality to PLR reports.

If you’re making any of these 3 common mistakes with PLR, it’s not too late to change it up. Decide what you’re going to do with them, learn how to rewrite them quickly with How To Rewrite PLR , and put them to work!
Visit How To Rewrite PLR now to find out how you, too, can make the most of your PLR articles by rewriting them. They can’t help you much if they just sit there on your hard drive or you throw them up on your blog “as is”.
